Satan Arrives In Turku is a second version of a piano trio that Räihälä had written in 1997. He enlarged the line-up with the flute and percussion and used this new piece in his project as the composer-in-residence of the Middle Finland Conservatory in 1997-98. The first performance was given by musicians from the conservatory in Jyväskylä in January 1998. In Satan Arrives In Turku there are two 'powers' that fight each other. The other is very soft and the other rowdy by nature. Needless to say, the latter ends victorious and the fearful tone of the beginning turns into rampage in the end.
